My Tiny Bio

Hi, I’m Ashley! I live in the beautiful mountains of Colorado and have been writing since the age of fourteen. I received a BA in English—Creative Writing from University of Colorado Boulder in May 2021 and now work as a book editor while writing whenever I have the chance. Becoming an editor has allowed me to help authors make the necessary tweaks that can advance their book into the hands of readers. I love seeing how stories grow and evolve. I compare writing a book to putting a puzzle together. With every chapter you write, the pieces of the puzzle come together to create a clearer picture. However, all the pieces of the puzzle aren’t in place when you finish writing your draft. A bunch of pieces are still scattered on the side. The puzzle comes together during the editing process.

Working Together

After working together, Ashley Earley of Earley Editing, LLC might request a phone or video call to discuss your book, take note the ideas you have and how they might fit into a rewrite, and to see how you felt about service. This will usually come after a developmental edit, but we are flexible! We want to know anything and everything that might help give you the best feedback possible.

Earley Editing, LLC is not here to change your story. It's your story. We're here to help enhance the story you already have, and we do our best to maintain the voice you have on the page. Any suggestions we make are able to be accepted or rejected via the track changes feature documents so kindly provide. Earley Editing, LLC makes suggestions, but not without explaining our feedback.
