Throwing Away Words

I’m learning to enjoy throwing away words 🤓✨

Deep, structural revisions are part of the writing process. I love finding those “aha” moments in manuscripts and hitting that big, scary DELETE button.

You cannot avoid that scary button if that’s what your story needs. Throw out those chunks that don’t make the story work and propel the plot forward! It’s going to hurt, but your story will be stronger for it. No one wants to delete scenes we worked hard on, spent hours on, or scenes we love, but that can create a rush once we see how the book flows.

I love finding magic amongst the mess ✨

Ashley
